God approves Incest : Episode 14

The Bible does imply that Adam and Eve’s children would have had to marry and have children with their siblings to populate the Earth

According to the Bible, after the Great Flood, Noah and his family were the only humans left on Earth. Noah’s family consisted of his wife, his three sons (Shem, Ham, and Japheth), and their wives. To repopulate the Earth, the descendants of Noah’s sons would have intermarried, which implies close familial relationships.

The Bible mentions who was on Noah's Ark in several verses. Here are the key ones:

- **Genesis 7:1**: "Then the Lord said to Noah, 'Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation.'"

- **Genesis 7:7**: "And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons' wives entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood."

- **Genesis 7:13**: "On that very day Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, together with his wife and the wives of his three sons, entered the ark."

- **Genesis 8:16**: "Come out of the ark, you and your wife and your sons and their wives."

These verses indicate that Noah, his wife, his three sons (Shem, Ham, and Japheth), and their wives were on the ark.

The Bible mentions several instances of incest, particularly in the Old Testament. Here are a few notable examples:

1. **Lot and his daughters**: After the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, Lot's daughters, believing they were the last people on Earth, got their father drunk and had intercourse with him to preserve their family line (Genesis 19:30-38)¹.

2. **Abraham and Sarah**: Abraham married his half-sister Sarah, who was the daughter of his father but not his mother (Genesis 20:12)¹.

3. **Amnon and Tamar**: Amnon, King David's son, raped his half-sister Tamar (2 Samuel 13:1-22)¹.

4. **Nahor and Milcah**: Nahor, Abraham's brother, married his niece Milcah, the daughter of his other brother Haran (Genesis 11:27-29)¹.

5. **Reuben and Bilhah**: Reuben, Jacob's son, slept with his father's concubine Bilhah (Genesis 35:22).

The New Testament mentions a few instances of incest too:

1. **Herod Antipas and Herodias**: Herod Antipas married Herodias, who was both his niece and the wife of his brother Philip. This marriage was condemned by John the Baptist, leading to his imprisonment and eventual execution (Mark 6:17-18)³.

2. **A man in the Corinthian church**: In 1 Corinthians 5:1, Paul addresses a case of incest within the Corinthian church, where a man was having a relationship with his father's wife.

The Bible has several passages that address the importance of not altering its words. Here are some key verses:

Deuteronomy 4:2: "Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you".

Revelation 22:18-19: "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book".

Proverbs 30:5-6: "Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar".

Galatians 1:8-9: “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”

These verses reinforce the idea that the words of the Bible are sacred and should not be altered.
